If the urine culture is negative for infection, and your gyn exam is normal, and you do not smoke, then consider your fluid intake. If you are drinking a lot of fluids, then your bladder will need to be emptied more often. 40-50 ounces of fluid per day should be adequate for most women. If you have normal fluid intake, consider treatment for overactive bladder. Usually there is a pill like Vesicare or Enablex which your doctor can prescribe, which, taken daily, can slow your bladder down. Many times, women with pelvic floor muscle trigger points can feel a need to void very often. If you have pain with intercourse, or have a hard time tolerating routine gyn exams, you may have a musculoskeletal problem which can be remedied by physical therapy to the pelvic floor muscles. Another treatment possibility is what's called timed voiding, where you retrain your bladder to empty on schedule, and gradually increase the voiding intervals over the course of 4-5 weeks. Your doctor should be able to help you with this. If none of these things work, or if you are a heavy smoker, then get an evaluation by a urologist or urogynecologist in your area.

I just typed this to another woman who was scared of the same problem....
To help ease your mind about the ovarian cancer... get a blood screening called the CA125. Many doctors and researchers believe that this is a great screening. My obgyn did not want to do it and ins. may not cover it, but it made me feel a lot better and from what I have heard... It has saved lives!

I highly recommend taking this screening, especially if it runs in your family!  Hope you feel better. By the way, I am having bloating and frequent urination as well.  Mine is related to all of the stimulants for IVF.  Are you or have you been on any meds for TTC?  That could be the cause as well.  For me, I am just hope it's not OHSS.  If you haven't been on fertility meds than you needn't worry about that (I don't think).
