Ballentis, treated but wont go away, now white layer over head of penis

I have been suffering from Ballentis (diagnosed) for about a month now, have been treated with hydrocortisine cream as well which didnt help and am now on a dose of antibiotics to help it clear. Am 3 days into the tablets and have noticed that there is a thin white layer over the head of my penis? I have been cleaning twice a day and am concerned as to why this has happened?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms can be due to balanoposthitis. Balanoposthitis is the inflammation of the foreskin and glans and can be caused by bacterial or fungal origins or by contact dermatitis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Please I really need some advice as I am currently not in a position where I can visit my gp. The thin white layer seems to peel away very easily.
