Brusing on penis

Hi this is wesley and im 16 years old

The head of my penis becomes quite a dark reddish colour when erect and there is bruising around the base of the head of my penis also. This seems to worsen during an erection and it is also fairly tender to touch. I have no other problems such as pain when urinating but i have had this problem for a couple of years now

This is quite embarrasing to say, but i used to masturbate quite rigerously and frequently in the past which i feel may have caused this problem. I no longer maturbate rigerously and recently cut down to 1-2 times a week. However i have now completely stopped in attempt to solve this problem but little progress has been made. I have never had any sexual contact so it cant be an STI. How long will this bruising take to go and is there anything i can do to heal it or heal it quicker, such as medicine etc. What should i do about it?

Please help because this very a embarrasing problem and i wish to have a sexual relationship with my girlfriend now however i feel that i cannot with this problem.
Please reply to this because i really need your help and advice
Thank You for listening to my problem.

Hi, You most likely are not going to like this, but I advise you not to go into sexual relations at the young age of 16. A first sexual experience should be saved for marriage. Engaging into sexual activity will cause problems of some sort later on.
Waiting is worth the time. Once you have found your life partner, you will be able to enjoy this together and learn together. You won't have to worry about comparing it to other realtionships.

All the best.

Hi ,

It is best to discuss this with your primary physician. Will you be able to do that?

There are anticoagulant gels or creams that may help however, it is important to discuss this with your physician before using any of these medications. They may have side effects and we do not want complications. A family member or a guardian may be able to help you set an appointment with your physician. The penis is a sensitive organ , so before using any medications, always inform your doctor.

Hi this is wesley again
I have had this problem for quite a while now, couple of years, which is why i have now decided to stop masturbating as i feel this may have been the original cause.
Since i have stoped there has been some progress as it is no longer as tender as it used to be to touch and the colour has reduced on the main part of the head of my penis. the worst part of it however it at the base of the head of my penis where there is a ring of darker bruising. This part has also got slightly better however but is still darker and more tender. The bruising seems deeper here.
Should i just leave it for the bruising to heal naturally because from what i have read i know that bruising on the penis can take much longer to heal than ordinary bruises.
Is there any sort of medication/cream that i can get from the pharmacy to quicken this process?
Thank You also for replying to my previous question.

Hi,

For how long has this been present? Has this progressed?

Do refrain from any sexual activity for the moment. Just observe the condition . If it persists then I suggest you seek consult with a dermatologist as you may need topical medications to keep the "bruising" down.Only use mild bland soap to wash the area and do not vigorously manipulate the area. If this is just mild bruising then this will resolve by itself.
