You sound like you may have IC or interstitial cystitis. In short it's an inflammation of the bladder that causes pain, urgency, burning, blood in urine, painful sex, etc. Not all people have all the symptoms though. I struggle the most with urgency. I think I went to the bathroom about 60 times today! I'm shocked your urologist didn't mention it. There's no cure for this but some urologist can help you find treatment. I have it and it *****! Maybe you should ask your doctor/urologist about it. Good luck!
Did you have a ct scan if kidneys-bladder?
I have had blood work to test my liver, pancreates, white blood count, thyroid...everything is normal there as well. I can't go a half hour without having to urgently pee...and its full-fledge peeing I'm doing.
I too have had to plan my life out around my pee schedule. I have been tested for a uti...no probloems there. I have been to a urologist to have my bladder tested for any problems...no problem there. I just have frequent and urgent urination and my stomach is bloated. Had an exray and other than some constipation, nothing wrong. If u find anything...keep us posted.
I have exactly the same feeling as you. I am a 23year old woman and have had the urge to pee CONSTANTLY. I have no other pain or discomfort while peeing, other than as soon as I've finished I need to go again - within seconds. It is like when your bladder is full and you push on it while holding in your pee - that is as close as I can describe it. It is so unfortable I can barely last half and hour without going to the bathrrom and when I do only a trickle comes out - yet like a normal UTI it does not sting and I have no pain other than pressure. It has been three days and its even hard to walk because I feel like I am going to pee my pants. :( Help please!
Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like a urinary tract infection. Drink plenty of water and fluids and get a urine examination and culture done. Other possibilities are diabetes insipidus, glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys), hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism and diuretic drugs.
For this is suggest you to consult a physician and get urine culture done. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
You don't neccessarily experience lower back pain in the case of a UTI or kidney infection. I have had too many kidney infections to remember the number. Some times I did get the back pain and in other cases I just had the urgency and burning during urination.
I have also used the Pyridium tabs (not sure if I spelled it right) they turn your urine red orange. It helps but does not target the infection.
With a UTI or low grade infection things can get out of hand real fast. I have had days where I would go to work feeling OK at 7 am and by 10 am I would be in the emergency at the local hospital with a bad kidney infection.
It is important that you get tis treated and that the possibility of more serious problems are ruled out.
All the best.
Ron
Yay! it ceased and i took some Cranberry AZO pills. the pee orange stuff. I feel better. ty :3
You should take those pills that turn your pee bright orange it will help with any pain but it sure does sound like a UTI. If you go to just a walk in urgent care they will help you out that way you do not have to go to the ER. But you really need to get on the antibiotic Bactrim or bactrim DS
