Sexual Stimulation

Hi Dr. I am a 28 year old male, last year i had to get cirumcised due to some sexual performance problems. Now my wife and I want to get pregnant, but since i was circumcised I lost any erotic sensations that my penis had while having sex and because of this I have a really hard time ejaculating in my wife. What can i do or take to enhance performance (gain stimulation) with my penis.? Please help my wife and I.

This is what circumcision does. The doctor who replied to you isn't aware or chooses to ignore the fact histological analysis has shown virtually all erogenous (stretch/touch sensors ) nerves are in the foreskin.   I was also duped into circumcision in my teens for phimosis, something that's overkill and unnecessary. But my parents and I weren't informed what circumcision was beforehand, so it was medical negligence on many levels. Men don't localise where their erogenous feelings come from , so most don't realise it's the foreskin and society keeps telling them it's the glans. The glans is non-erogenous, whether you're intact or circumcised.  It''s covered with free nerves, like the eyeball. These sense pain and pressure, not touch and not erogenous sensation.

This is why circumcision was invented. To leave the penis in as quiet a state as possible, to deny earthly pleasure and make men less interested in sex and more faithful to their wives.  The claim FGM is more damaging in sensory terms has no basis in reality. In fact, male "circumcision" , given that it removes the primary erogenous organ, is far worse in the majority of cases.

"there should be no loss of sensation at the glans"

I'm afrain you're not aware of the process of keratinization that does lessen sensation, in a particularly treacherous way, that it takes time..., so that impotence happens to be more frequent in circumcised persons.

Hi,

It is a highly debated issue whether the loss of the foreskin reduces sexual pleasure. Though opinions vary, and given the extensive innervation of the foreskin, it is apparent that there is some amount of diminished sensation following circumcision.

If you have been circumcised, it is not necessary that you feel a diminished reaction to stimulation to the extent that it impedes ejaculation. Actually, there should be no loss of sensation at the glans of the penis if the procedure was performed efficiently and healing was uncomplicated.

You will need to evaluate whether you are able to feel any sensation during masturbation and whether the sensations you feel are sufficient to result in ejaculation. If this is determined, it can be decided whether you need further evaluation by a urologist.

If the sensation loss has been gradual, it need not be related to the process of circumcision. You can start taking vitamin B complex supplements in addition to supplements containing vitamin A, E, and DHA, at the prescribed daily doses. If a smoker, decreasing or stopping the habit can aid in restoration of feeling in some
individuals.

Do keep us posted.
