I had a urologist suggesting orchiplexy for that mobility. I am reading alot of ppl feedback on it and there seems to be alot of post-operative complications from it.
If you are not having any pain, or bumps, lumps, or nodules it would not seem to be a problem to me. While there are averages, there can be differences between people, and between left and right testicle on how long or short the cords are, how loose or tight the scrotum is, and how far up a testicle will go out of the scrotum. But, if you are concerned, certain a visit to a urologist would put your mind at ease, They do not judge. They diagnose and treat.
I had something simmilar on my right testicle. I was told that it was due to having had an undescended right testicle at birth and this testicle did not come down until about 12-13.
I was able to push the testicle up into the inguinal regeon where it would remain until I pushed it back down again.
In 2006, I had an emergency incarcerated right inguinal hernia. I was told that it might end up in a situation where there could be a loss of the right testicle. In 2000 after a major kidney infection as well as a Strep infection of the left testicle. The testicle and all the tissue around it had become infected. As a result I lost my left testicle, I did not want to end up with no testicles at all. Luckily things were OK and I woke up in recovery with the right testicle still in place.
Due to the hernia on the right, I ended up with a situation of the testcile being fixed in the scrotum. To me it is worse than having a testicle that retracts.
All the best,
Ron
