Hi,
A male here who has a fistula between the urethra and rectum. I have been told that it is a difficult surgical repair with low success rate.
Perhaps the success rate in females is higher. The problem is that this condition predisposes one to UTI. The benefits of surgery must be higher than the risks involved.
Hi,
How are you? Did this symptom started after the initiating the steroid injection? Air in the urine may be due to forceful flow of the urine, presence of excess protein in the urine and possible pneumaturia or air bubbles in the urine. Pneumatoria is a rare condition which is most often caused by a fistula between the bladder and the colon. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
