I love the scent of candles. They somehow make me smile and feel good.
Try journaling....... writing down what you are feeling and what caused you to feel that way will help you deal with it easier. It can also help ease your impulse to eat.
If you can't do the journaling, try reading a book, going for a walk (takes your mind off the troubles AND you get exercise), take up a hobby, etc -- almost anything to take your mind off eating.
when i'm stressed out i leave the house crank up the music in my car and go drive somewhere, i usually end up at my sisters house or at the store/mall and i just walk around and have some me time. that might not work for you, but i work full time and have a 5 month old baby and 3 year old son and literally never have time to myself and just getting out of the house by myself is a huge stress reliever b/c i can't ever just go out by myself w/o bring one or both my kids so its nice and relaxing for me, especially since thats where most of my stress seems to come from, having to take care of everything w/o help from the husband
