I am over weight and tired

Hello Everyone,
Well I don't really know where to begin. My weight problem started at age 39 up until that time I never had a problem with my weight even after having five children. I was still able to keep my high school figure.  I've never exercised or maintained a healthy diet. I am 41 now and I know I'm paying for my stupidity of taking my health for granted.  I'm 5"10" and I weigh 215lbs. I am tired all the time but I try and block it out of my mind and continue to try and achieve all my daily task. I hate the way this weight makes me feel I get tired faster now than I ever have before. I would like to loose 65 lbs but I don't know where to begin. My friends tell me to drink more water, cut out drinking soda's completely, eat more vegetables and fruit, walk about 45min. each day, get at least 8 to 9 hours of sleep per night, and if possible stop eating meat. Wow! Is this really how I begin this challenging goal of mine. Someone please help me. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If you're feeling tired maybe you're not getting all the nutrients you need. B12 deficiency can cause anemia and fatigue.  The best way to get it in your system is shots or the patch, because it doesn't absorb well orally.  It not only helps burn calories, but it will boost your energy level!  It's an important element in any diet.  Check out this website. I recommend this the above all other methods.

I have been looking into natural weight loss, as I believe it addresses the real cause for inability to lose weight.  What I've read it that a malfunctioning hypothalamus gland is responsible.  I've looked into the hcg injections, as mentioned in a previous thread, and have heard great things about it.  It's supposed to be permanent because it deals with the root cause.  I do plan to try it out.  I will post on here and report my results.

Thanks Marie,
I'm going to copy and print your comment and post it on my kitchen refrigerator and my rest room mirror. I'm going to try really hard to stick to my very first diet. As a matter of fact I know that I can do this because at this point I just want all of this fatigue to just go away!  If this diet can give me back my energy then I know I'm on my way to a much healthier life style. And there will be know turning back.

And again, thanks for your advice

I haven't been on this forum before but would like to offer my advice.   I agree with walking, drinking more water and eating more fruits and veggies.  If you have never exercised before, walking is a great place to start.  Most people see results with just this activity.  As far as giving up meat, that's not necessary unless you want to become a vegetarian.  Stick with lean meats like chicken, turkey, fish and lean beef/steak.  One thing that has always helped me is eliminating white sugar.  By this I mean no white bread, potatoes, rice, sweets, etc...The carbs you take in should come from fruits, veggies, and whole grains.  Also, giving up soda is a big way to cut calories.  Stick with water.  You have no idea how much better you will feel with a few simple changes.  You're energy should return too.  Good luck achieving your goal!
