Lap Band Surgery

If there is anyone out there that could help me with insurance and lap bank surgery i really need it.  I do have United Health Care insurance.  I also have high blood pressure bad knees really low self esteem and would really like some help. Was molested at a very young age and just cant get over it.  SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.  First I am not suicidal just feel and look like crap.

Tigerlilly gave you some excellent advice.  Have you done research on lap band surgery?  

Only your own insurance company can tell you whether or not they will cover it.  My doctor's office calls my insurance company for authorization, then they contact me when it's authorized -- that's how I know if it's going to be covered or not.  If a procedure is not going to be covered, my doctor's office will call me back to ask if I want to proceed.  

I also agree that you might want to check out the Abuse forum; as well as check into one on one counseling.

I have no idea about your insurance. You should call them. They will answer your questions and if you don't understand what they are saying tell them that they need to explain it again. You could also ask the doctors office to help guide you in the right direction. You should also see if your insurance covers counseling. I've never been abused like that and don't know how to help you. Maybe a counselor could help you work through it if you've never gone before. Weight Loss Alternatives and Abuse support are two other forums here that might be able to help you. Please take care of yourself. You deserve it. Everyone does, not just some people and your included on that list. I hope you find the answers you need to get some help. Good luck to you.
