Sunday Weigh In - January 25, 2015

Good morning everyone... another bright sunshiny day, here in Florida, but not so warm.  I hope it's bright and warm where you are.  How is everyone doing this week?

I've done pretty well, as far as eating - you know the drill - salads, veggies, etc.  I ran into a problem when my husband (who doesn't have a weight problem) decided that he wanted burgers and fries, one day, then Subway sandwiches another day.  I was able to opt for a Caesar salad in place of the burger and fries, but Subway doesn't have  much besides Sandwiches - well it can be made into a salad, but salads get old.  I did opt for the whole grain bread over the white, which I think helped, and of course, I left out the chips.

Our weather isn't very warm, so hasn't been very conducive to the daily walk, though I've been as faithful as I could be (rain a couple of days, which ruled it out completely).

Anyway, all said and done, I'm up 0.6 pounds, so I have to stop and take stock to see what happened.  Now that's not very much and it could simply be water weight, which I seem to be famous for, but I want to make sure.

I haven't kept a food diary for a while, so I'm going back up and try that again this week and see if there's something I'm missing.  There could be.  Or maybe I need to change up my exercise.  Walking is all I've been doing for most of the winter, so maybe my body is getting too used to it ... might be time to get back to adding some weights or some yoga, again.

This is something that we always have to keep in mind - taking stock of what we're doing... we lose; we don't lose.  What's happening in our body?  Do we need to make minor changes that will get our weight loss back on track?  It's usually just a small change.

I've lost 15 pounds from my all time high... I'm not about to stop here, with 15-20 pounds to go and I want to lose it by August...

Enough about me.  What about everyone else?  Did you reach the one pound goal?  If so, congratulations... you did a great job and we'd love to hear how you did it and what your motivation is.  If you didn't reach the goal, how can we help you?  Do you need tips or motivation?  Don't know where to start?

Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week.

Remember, we all win by losing --- weight.....

I'm doing well this morning was able to sleep with my husband and two dogs. I'm not really sure of my weight loss this week because last weekend I partied a little much so I was way dehydrated then of course I got on the scale a lot later then I normally due. I didn't do all that well on eating this week but I did work out more then I have in months. My weight said I'm down a pound but I'm not sure how accurate that is... Oh well, here is to a new week to try again.  ;)

Congratulations on your 1.6 lb loss... that's awesome.

I know what you mean about letting yourself get too hungry between meals.  I often, do that, as well.  My husband only eats a couple of meals/day, so I tend to follow suit, which isn't probably the best.   But, at least you went the right direction in spite of a "backslide".

CRSeaside - sometimes, I wish I didn't have a scale.  I've noticed that my jeans are all getting baggy, but I didn't take measurements when I started, so I can't really say what I've lost in inches.  I walk a couple of miles (or more) every day, so that helps with the leg/butt toning.  I do need to work on the upper body toning, so I guess it's time to get out the weights again.  Probably need to get out the tape measure too, huh?...

I take my measurements and try on clothes. No scale here in Costa Rica!
I go by the 10" rule. Right now I'm 44". 35". 42". Toning up by walking stairs & swimming.

I've actually done really good this week, I am down 1.6lbs. I am actually kind of shocked because we went to town and I got mozzarella sticks and a small Oreo shake, I guess all the walking around town kinda helped me there. I do however have a problem with letting myself get too hungry between meals and when I get too hungry is when I tend to cave when I have the option to get fast food or just bad foods in general. I still find myself some days trying to find more food to eat so I at least eat 1200 calories a day though because sometimes I have a huge appetite while other days I can barely eat the 3 necessary meals.
