Eat Less. Move More.
Sounds simple. Try to get 15 to 30 mins exercise 4 to 5 days a week (to start) working towards 45 to 60 mins.

HIIT timer app (incl Tabata)
Don't overdo the exercise to begin with. Try to eat 400 to 700 cals a day less than average for your height and age. Use this app to stay on top of it.
Also try to avoid:
Cheese
Deep fried foods
Potato chips
Biscuits
Refined sugars
Excessive carbs
I used these apps and loosely followed these rules eating sensible meals, and lost 60+ pounds in 5 months. Don't get disheartened if your weight plateaus at times. Try not to do anything excessive, because once you've lost the weight you want, you have to start maintaining it.
