Two pounds is actually the considered safe (on the average) weight loss
per week.
So first things first!
Without reducing caloric intake it usually does not work.
So REPLACE all "empty" calories, like from sodas, candy bars, junk food
as much as you are able to, with healthy nutritious foods.
Reduce drastically fast food, junk food, sweets, desserts, convenience foods etc. and concentrate on eating a lot of salads and fresh vegetables, but easy on the dressing. I would do my own using just a little olive oil and more wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar with a pinch of sea salt & some herbs.
Consume quality protein like grilled fish, chicken & turkey breast and eat less carbs from breads and stuff.
Drink plenty of water 1 hour away from meals.
Increase your activity level. Walk (brisk) everywhere and for longer time.
Do some aerobic exercise daily. if you're not in good shape take it easy and start slow. Safety comes always first!
Incorporate some weigh training exercise s-free weights or machines,but again start with low weights, warm up properly and get ample rest for recovery.
