trying to gain weight... odd i know but so true!

i am 5 7" and weigh 96 lbs!  I have never had an eating disorder i am just naturally thin with a very fast metabolism.  Im currently taking Mass XXX powder every night before bed to help gain some mass but ive only gained 1lb in a month an d half.   Are there any other suggestions?  Im also wanting to get pregnant within the next year and need to gain the weight for a baby.  Thanks for anyone who can help!

Have you seen doctor to rule out any metabolic problem?  If not, that would be my first suggestion.  Get a complete physical and blood work, which you should prior to trying to conceive, anyway.

Can you post a typical days menu, including approximate amounts?  That way, we can get a better look at what you are eating.

I'd add in more protein with each meal and snack, especially with breakfast where it is really needed.  Unless you have a cholesterol problem, I'd drink full fat milk, too.

I don't see any veggies, which are needed primarily for the vitamin and fiber aspect of good health.  They won't significantly help you gain weight, but are needed anyway.

Nuts and avocados are a good source of healthy calories and good fat.  Eat plently, especially for snacks.

You could add one of the shakes to each meal.  That would help, too.
