Afraid to do the HCG gorge!!!!!!!!!

by SheriBerry, Nov 13, 2007 12:24PM
I hear all the weight loss stories, and I've read Pounds and Inches where you are to gorge yourself for the first two days while taking the HCG injections however I am afraid that I will gain the 10 pounds back it has taken me 3 long months to lose. How important is this? Wouldn't I get a jump start on the weight loss if I didn't have that additional weight to lose that I gained the first 2 days?

Hi! I am in the same boat as you! I lost 11 pounds and am due to start the injections soon. I plan to use Thanksgiving as my binge days. Please put your trust in the program, the decades of research and the hundreds of thousands who have found success. It really is physically impossible to gain ten pounds in 2 days of overeating. So, enjoy yourself. And I'll meet you back here to compare success stories!

Thanks Maggie, at least I know I am not alone! I wish my HCG would arrive. They said this Friday or next but I was thinking the same thing that it would be nice if it came around Thanksgiving and I could actually ENJOY a holiday and eat what I want without worrying. If I may ask, what are your stats? How much weight are you wanting to lose and how do you plan on giving yourself the injections? IM or SQ? Guess I am going to do mine SQ because that's what Pounds and Inches recommends. I want to go middle of the road and maybe go with 175 I.U.
How about you? Maybe together we can compare notes...........

I am planning on doing SQ injections for the same reason-its whats recommended.  I haven't read Pounds and Inches, just KT. I haven't had my labwork yet but I hope to lose 30 pounds. I have slightly elevated blood pressure and plan to go off my RX meds when I start the injections. Other than that, I'm healthy as a horse and expect no problems.
Have you implemented any of the diet changes suggested in Phase 1? I've done the majority of them, but I can't make myself gag down the chamomile or yerba mate teas!

I haven't implemented any of the diet changes in Phase 1. I've heard some people have and some people skipped this and both had close to the same weight loss during the injections so I don't know how important it is. I would like to lose about 20 pounds myself. I've lost 10 on my own but good lord, it's taken me 3 months and total starvation! And knowing me, I could smell a piece of chocolate and gain 4 pounds back overnight! I hope this works. Really the only medical problem I have is Hashimoto's (hypothroid). I have taken myself off my meds for it, because thats what pounds and inches recommened. Funny, I started losing the 10 pounds AFTER I got off my meds. Who knows. Well good luck to you! I will try to look for you in the posts and keep in touch.

I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to get my vitals done. His office seems to think the only vital test I need is my blood pressure! I'm sure there's more. Can you help? And do I need his office to put the results on their letter head? Do I leave there with a copy to furnish the HCG clinic? I got the labwork order but there was no info on obtaining vitals. I don't want to mess this up. I'm trying to expedite the process in orde tog et my RX by Thanksgiving.

Sorry dear I didn't go through this process. I just read the book and ordered my HCG online. Calling anyone who might have gone through this.................does anyone know the answer to maggie's question?

Well I got my HCG today in the mail! Wahoooooooo!
I think I am going to start it next week so I can use Thanksgiving as one of my "gorge" days!

The gorge is Very important.  A friend of mine that lost 38 lbs in 43 days told me that everyone that didn't gorge, had massive hunger.  I did gorge, but I had a few times in the middle of the day that I didn't eat because I was waiting to eat with my husband and I think if I had it to do over again, I would eat all day long.  I did feel like a stuffed turkey at the end of the gorge and I did have hunger the first 2 days of the vlcd. I actually lost .2 lbs the first day of the gorge but gained 1.6 the next.  I have lost a total of 7.6 lbs from last Thursday.  I have never lost weight so fast in my life.  My flabby arms hardly have anything hanging today YES!  I just hate it when I quit waving, but my arms keep going.
You will do great.  What a better time to stuff but turkey day!

Excellent! I submitted my vitals and labwork today. I am holding my breath hoping I get my RX by Thanksgiving. I so friggin excited I can't stand it!! I have NO fear of the VLCD. We can do this, right?! I did liposuction, Nutrisystem, TOPS, Alli, even military exercise regimins. BRING IT ON.

I know I am excited too. I almost, almooooost started my shots today but I really want to save it for next week so I can pig out on Turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes babeee!!!  :-)
Well good luck, I hope you get your prescriptions on time! Like you, I have tried everything. Nothing seemed to work. I just pray this does!

grateful120- Lord do I know about those flabby arms. I call them "bat-wings". That's great that you've lost that much weight in a week! I hope my outcome turns out as well as everyone else seems to have. Can I ask you a question? I know we are supposed to eat the 100 grams of meat, once for lunch and once for dinner, then the apple and the melba toast, however how much veggies do we eat? Just make up the difference in the calories?

I love the "bat-wings"!  I have never heard them called that before :o).  I got a list from a posting that might help .....
asparagus 130 grams     34 calories
cabbage     150                30
cucumbers 105                16
ice lettuce    170                24
romaine        130               23
green onion   170              36
radish           10 med         17
spinach         170               39
tomatoes       170               20
grapefruit       120               49
strawberries  150               56
"  " frozen       144              46
apple peeled   100              41

I never peel my apples.  I need all the roughage I can get.  I have actually put cabbage in a non stick skillet with a bit of water and a little garlic.....I liked it.  I do the same thing with onion. (I use brown or yellow and usually about a half of a medium onion.  It helps me when I can sit down to a hot meal at night.  I usually try to do my salads or greens or cucumber for lunch and make something warm at night.  It is probably psychological, but it makes me happy.

Are you feeling any better? I thought I read in one of your other posts that you were throwing up and had a headache. Was it the flu or the shots do you think?

Oh yes, my bat wings sag more and more every year. Dontcha just love what age does to the body? haha

Thanks for the veggie information.......I ordered a food scale and I hope it gets here before next week.
I'll print this off and use it!

Yes, thank you.  I am feeling better.  I was exposed to a bunch of air borne mold on Tuesday.  I think that is why I got sick.
Go to Target in the kitchen ware department and get the Chefmate scale.  It is wonderful!

I am looking forward to firm arms.  I will probably watch my arms every time I wave in amazement that they stop moving when I do.

I must have been under a rock because I just heard about this last week.  I am about to start some of the things in Phase 1 and hope to get my HCG in a couple of weeks.  I have read so many of these postings that I was about to believe that it was a hoax.  Then I found this one.  Did either of you do Phase 1? Which ones are important?

Also, I don't think I understand what I can eat.  I get the protein but can I have as much of one veg as I want?

The diet plan is in KTs book and also in "Pounds and Inches" which is the protocol from Dr. Simeons.  I am following Dr. Simeons and buying as much organic as I can.  I didn't do phase one because I do a lot of cleanses and am not a big junk food eater.  I cook most of our meals at home and it is all from scratch, so I wasn't so worried about so many chemicals in my food.  I also have a total house water filtration system and another filter on my shower.  I have had those for years.  I did occasionally drink soda and eat out for date night and sometimes with friends, but we prefer "hole in the wall" places and very rarely go to chains.
I felt like I could "See the Light" when I was told where to look for the Hcg and the protocol.  They say if you look long enough, you will find the answer.  I am very grateful to have learned about this.  I feel it is saving my life!

Does anyone know what is the best time to give the shot? Does it matter? Morning, afternoon or evening? I didn't know if it affects your sleep at all, or if one or the other gives the better results. I am really looking forward to starting this week!!!

Hi.  I, too, am planning on doing the gorge over thanksgiving.  I just can't wait to get it overwith and start the losing process.  I have 40 + pounds I need to lose.  I'm going to start with 125 iu x 6 days/wk.  Will see how I respond to the least amount, first.  Then will up the dosage if needed later.  I'll be doing SQ injections.  If anyone has any tips about the gorge and starting injections, etc please pass them on.  Would like to get off to the best start I can.  Thanks every1

Started out my HCG diet yesterday and is gorging for the 2nd day now... I feel so bloated from all this gorging... I'm trying to constantly eat throughtout the day, but it's making me sick. Hopefully all this gorging will help me from eating all the wrong things for the next 6 weeks! I didn't feel hardly any symptoms yesterday, but I did feel a little nauseous.  When I got up this morning, I felt like I hit a wall... I was absolutely drained? We'll see how this goes...

On my 2nd day of my low calorie diet.  Honestly, I probably went over a little... more like 500 calories that I consumed yesterday.  I was a bit tired and dilerious throughout the day, but today I feel soo much better, especially seeing that I weigh 3 lbs lighter from yesterday, YAY! That gives me soo much more motivation to on with this diet.  I drank herbal tea and water for breakfast, ate a garden salad with shredded chicken, had 1 c. of strawberries for snack and then ate grilled chicken breast, grilled onions and peppers, steamed brocolli and fresh salsa on my chicken.. delicious! I am such a carb person, I love my breads, pasta, and rice.. so this will be quite the challenge for me!
