Hey HCG users...

by byebye12, Jun 17, 2006 12:00AM
When you get HCG injections can you tell me if they curb your appetite? OR, are most of you getting diet pills and HCG injections.

This kind of has me worried. I have been on the phentermine 37.5 a pill and a half (Dr RX'd) and they just don't seem to be doing anything anymore. I am at a standstill. I would love to hear how the HCG injections have worked for you as far as curbing your appetite goes.

OR, can you offer me any wisdom or advice. I know sometimes things work great in the begining then seem to taper off. So, I have just called to make an appointment. I want to get off on the right foot.

Thanks!

I just wanted to say I started getting my shot and taking the phentermine 1 month ago, with a weight loss of 12lbs. I am very happy with the results. I am hearing though that I might be able to get more than one shot a week?? Please somebody let me know. I also go to Dr, G in Huntersville

Hi,   I'm going to a doctor in Hickory for the HCG shots.  I asked him just how exactly they aid in weight loss and he said there was no scientific proof that they actually do. He said that some people swear by them and that if you're willing to give yourself a shot twice a week, if nothing else, they act as  excllent motivators!  What have you all been told about the shots? Have you heard if they actully contain "calories" or is the hormone itself what increases metabolism?  I've been on the shots and taking topamax (yes, I know some people think it's terrible that I'm taking it for weight loss and not migrains, but I've had no adverse reactions) and have lost 24 pounds in 2 months!  WOW!!  I hadn't really realized how much that is until I just typed it!!  I still have 80 to go though so I've not won the battle yet!  Pray for me!

Thanks for all your responses. To answer...yes, I do take frequent "vacations" as I like to call them off phentermine.

Keep any tips coming. I also just bought the Fat Smash diet book. I might start trying to incorporate that into my regimin.

When I took HCG shots, I did them 5 days a week also.  I was on a 500 calorie diet with no salt.  The shots did not seem to curb my appetite.  They claim that it is suppose to pull fat from cells and as it passes through your body, you aren't suppose to be hungry.
I have a friend that took the shots and lost 40lbs.  She said she was never hungry.  I guess they work differently for each individual.

I have been using the HCG shots and pills since the end of March and I have lost 21 pounds. Last month I only used one shot every other week. This month I went back to a shot a week and have noticed I loose more inches the more I take the shot. This is big for me because I have lost close to 4 inches in my hips and in the past I have never been able to loose that many inches in my hips so fast even when I was younger I am now 36. I want to loose about 10 more pounds and I will be satisfied.

I just started my HcG shots and the diet pill a couple of days ago and needless to say...I can't fall asleep at night. My doctor said it was the pill and I should take only half. Has anyone else had this problem? I am only taking one shot a week.
Thanks!!

I only take one shot a week, so can you see a big different in taking more shots. I am almost at my goal. I went for a size 10 to size 4.

How long have you been taking the shots? Did you lose inches all over or just waist? I'm a size 10-12 and would love to even get down to a 6. Do you plan to take maintenance doses?
Thanks

I just started HCG shots and I mentioned to my dr about people taking them 5 days a week. His comment was that after a while your body will shut down. I also see where some take b-12 more than 1 time per month. My general Dr is the one giving me the b-12 and the 4 HCG shots a month. They were not familiar with Lipotronics but they have been asked about it alot recently.
I am just so confused about HCG and how often to take it to see results. I am not taking any diet pills, only HCG, b-12 and then working out and eating under 1200 calories per day.

My father started the same time he has lost 84 lbs and my best friend started with us has lost 64lbs. They are going great. Good Luck
