Zoloft Weight Gain or Weight Loss?

by Taybey, Jun 17, 2008 02:19PM
I was on paxil for almost 2 years and slowly but surely gained weight almost 30 pounds now.  I called my doc and he switched me to zoloft.  I would like to hear what people on zoloft or paxil have to say.  Im not losing any weight as least not yet, i just started zoloft 3 weeks ago today.  Have you gained, lost or stayed the same on zoloft?

I was on and off zoloft for 4 years and I've gained weight, almost 30 pounds.  But, as they say, each SSRI works differently for each person, so perhaps it will not cause weight gain for you.  Unfortunately, you'll have to wait and see.  Best of luck!
