You know that during your period your body retains water.....I injected HCG throughout and the scale didn't budge at all the week I had my period. Once my period was over, 2.5 lbs down at once.
Let your body be and keep doing what you're doing........it WILL pay off!!!
Sounds like you are doing OK for a 1,000 calorie diet and HcG shots only once a week. The daily HcG shots are supposed to give you a feeling of well-being, energy, and no hunger. Before I decided to go with Dr Simeon's HCG/VLCD protocol, I monitored this site for 4 weeks to see what was working best. Here are the notes I made about what seemed to work best for people (keep in mind this is just a straw pole):
1) Closely following Dr Simeon's plan (outlined in his document "Pounds and Inches").
2) Daily Hcg shots (5 X a week, then 2 off days doesn't seem to work as well AT FIRST (as far as losing weight), but the daily's' may be hitting the point at which HCG doesn't work as well faster than the people taking 2 days off a week)
3) Strict VLCD of 500 Colories AND of the correct combination. Following Dr Simeon's very restrictive diet plan will give you the right combination. Haven't been able to detrmine if the NHW 800 Calorie 'more liberal food plan' is working as well for people. The first week I monitored, it wasn't (from the postings), but since postings seem to indicate they are doing well.
4) Taking the time to do Phase 1 from KT's book. People who went through the cleansing and body preparation phase seem to be losing more.
I completely agree with LadyB; those notes are exactly what is necessary for the diet to work.
I found these things work well too:
1. take a fiber supplement with meals
2. deep breathing and stretching exercises to keep the circulation going
3. walking
4. don't eat immediately before bed
5. ease up on the salt
6. drink TONS of water and tea

Thanks, I forgot to include some of those. With RA, I can't walk as much as the program requires, so I didn't list that one. The "Drink Lots of Water' was definitley a big one I forgot to list. Thanks for adding to the list.
Taking a fiber supplement isn't on Dr Simeon's list, but I can see how it would be important. In fact, I think I need to do that when I start Phase 2 on June 5th, or I might end up constipated.
thanks everyone for your great advice, i mean iam losing weight its just that i've been reading on how people have been losing 10pounds a week and i just feel kind of frustrated that i'm not losing it as fast as everyone else. Although i have been following the diet to a T, i guess i'm gonna try exercising alittle more maybe that might help. Thanks again!
I take 5 shots a week from NHW but follow the Simeon diet. I'm into week # 7.
I started at 161.5 and today I weighed in at 133. The Simeon/KT diet is the best. The only change I've made is that I don;t do the melba toast. Hcg is a miracle.
I just started Tuesday with my first shot and they doctor wants me on 1000-1200 calories daily. I have not lost anyhting and still fill so hungry. They didn't want to give me any diet pills yet just to see how the shots worked. I paid a lot of money for the doctors program and already I'm doubting and thinking this is a rip off. Any suggestions!

Did you do at least 2 load days? (eat alot of calories, high fat) You are supposed to do this the first two days that you take shots. It takes a few days to get the hcg in your system plus it fills up your regular fat cells. HCG is supposed to pull from the reserve stubborn fat. The load days keep you from being hungry at the beginning.
Also, have you read Simeon's manuscript? If not, find it on the web. It says to do a specific 500 calorie a day diet. Sounds very low, but it's really not bad. You do have to follow it very closely to lose weight.
