Hi I just started on phenimetrazine yesterday given to me by a doctor, I was just wondering if anyone had good results with this pill, I have about 60 pounds to loose, and I have stared exercising last week walking 4 times a week 40mins. I would really like to hear some positive feed back about this medication.
im an expert on drugs..weight loss and steroids..these people who sell it will say its great..or those who dont relize if they did lose weight..at what cost..and was it realy the drug..be smart..eat less..excercise more..there are no tricks
Hi Lisa, yeah, I wouldn't listen to someone who has put other people's weighloss in front of his own personal spelling problems! I was taking phentermine and HCG, after 3 months, I was down 48lbs. I was also walking and doing an aerobic workout a few times a week! I felt great! Good luck:)
why mislead people..in no way did you lose that much weight that fast..well not FAT anyway...I have 2 degree's nutrition & sports nutrition...look up the drug from a non selling weight site..then tell me how good it is..
just google n search..or web md...mayohealth.com..
Weight generally is regained after stopping medication.
The best weight-loss medication program will also incorporate a weight-loss diet and exercise.
OK as you see..for a very slight weight (not fat) loss...why take the risk ?
and it clearly states..excercise,diet are #1 and no long tern studies have been done..and as soon as you stop..all weight is re-gained..this is junk..stop looking for a quick fix...its not worth the risks..not for this drug anyway
from someone that took this med stay away from it. this med has caused nothing but trouble for me. when i went to my doctor my bloodpressure was high. i have the symptoms of a mild stroke. i have an eye disease that i didnt know i had. eventually i would have problems because of the eye disease and have a feeling that phentermine caused the eye disease to progress to the point only thing that would treat the eye disease is to get a cornea transplant. i will have to see a specilists and get confirmation on this. if i could go back and change things i would have stayed far away from this med. if your going to take this make sure to be closely watched by a professional doctor.
An article in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) stated:
"No convincing scientific evidence exists that human chorionic gonadotropin has any pharmacologic effect in weight reduction. Hence, claims to the public that such effects do occur are a misrepresentation of the scientific facts."
FDA requires all labeling and advertising of HCG to state that it has not been demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of obesity. The ads must also state that HCG is not approved by FDA as safe and effective in treatment of obesity of weight control.
Yet the use of HCG for weight loss continues. For instance, advertisements for weight-loss clinics using HCG appeared in the Chicago area in the summer of 1982. The ads included the required disclaimer, but in type much smaller than that used to extol the virtues of the clinics' program.
The pill or shot to enable a person to lose weight without danger and without eating less has not been formulated. And the garment or other device to let one firm up or lose inches without moving a muscle has yet to be invented.
It looks like those who want to be slim will have to resort to those old, unglamorous standbys--eating less and exercising more--to shake those excess pounds.
well that is upto them what they do. when i have the money i am going to get on something that i know will work and the best thing its alnatural. i wont have to worry about taking it and hurting my body. i should have done this from the get go.
I have horrible problems controlling my cravings for candy, Taco Bell, soda, etc. Phenimetrazine make those cravings dematerialize.
I lost more than 20 lbs in 2 months and never looked better in my life. It was effortless: I didn't have to starve myself; I was just never hungry. I had to remind myself to eat and, when I did, I'd eat reasonable portions of decent foods. The weight seemed to just fall off. Every day, I'd step on the scale to find that I'd lost a pound of two.
However, I highly recommend that you begin a serious workout schedule and learn to eat right and STICK TO IT WHEN YOU STOP TAKING THE PILLS. When I quit taking them, the cravings came back, and, since I never learned to work out, I gained it all back, plus some.
I'm trying to find a doctor that prescribes phenimetrazine in my new town. This time, I'm going to do it right!
I usually never get into arguments but let me say this.
First off lisb5 asked about PHENDIMETRAZINE not phentermine. They are two different drugs, yes they are similar but still different. Phendimetrazine has the least side effects of the appetite suppressants.
Second, FIGHTU35 have you ever struggled with weight loss?
well, I have and I have had a very hard time losing weight, after trying exercise and healthy eating and still not losing very much. I know a lot about nutrition, exercise and how the body works but yet still struggle with weight. And it sounds to me like fightu35 is probably one of these people that don't have to worry about weight. I could be wrong though. I have always went all natural on the eating and weight loss thing but for the past couple of years that has not been helping me.
I am not going to bash anybody, not going to tell anybody what to do, but I can tell my story and give advice......
My story. I will try and make it short. Always had an athletic build, nothing but muscle until kids, then weight piled on, about 4-1/2 years ago lost weight naturally and started looking good again, that lasted about a year to year and a half (something like that), these past couple of years weight started packing on to where I needed to lose about 30 lbs. Have tried and tried to lose the weight naturally, haven't been successfully. Finally broke down and got doctor's help. He prescribed Bontril (phendimetrazine) and also the HCG. I have had four family physicians tell me they believe in the HCG shot. Three of them don't even do the HCG shots in their office only because it is not FDA approved but they said from their research on it they believe in it and told me that this has been around for a long time. So I am trying it.
Since Friday, Aug. 10th I have lost 7 pounds. My severe cravings are now under control, I am eating healthier than ever and not sneeking fattening snacks, I do have more energy. I feel good. Now it could be the phendrimetrazine, could be the HCG, or the combo of both or could be just all in my head. But whatever it is, it is working and I am happy. My doc is going to be closely monitoring my blood work, BP, everything. I am also taking my blood pressure once a day just because I am nervous like that (since I am on a new drug). I have also talked to the physicians (the four FP) at some length and have done my own research. And if something goes wrong it is my own fault.
Now I know these are not miracle drugs and I still have to eat right and exercise but something that I am taking is helping me with cravings and having more energy and so therefore with a combination of me exercising and eating better and these meds I am losing weight.
Now here is my advice.......do your own research, talk to several physicians especially ones that don't even prescribe diet medication and get their opinion on what they think, make sure you keep up with your blood work and everything else. And make your own decision about what you want to do.
I agree with futurern.
did the phentermine 1st about 7years ago and lost 20lbs of baby fat in 45 days kep it off for 5years. 2years ago did phendimetrazine and slimmed back down after a miscarraige @ 6 months. did the phendimetrazine instead as to not build a tolerance to the phentermine and lost 25 in about 2 1/2 months. just started the hcg/phentermine diet
last monday and have lost 10lbs. good luck!
Let me clarify something on my last post. I said it was not FDA approved, that is it is not FDA approved for weight loss. It is FDA approved for treating infertility problems, however.
And I did read a couple of controlled researches where some patients were receiving a placebo and some were receiving HCG and both were on the exact same diet and exercise regimen. Although they said there was not a big difference in the loss of weight there was quite a difference in muscle loss. The group on the HCG injections had less breakdown of muscle tissue than the placebo group so it may help with muscle wasting on diets if anything else and that is a good thing.
Yesterday I received my first prescription of phendimetrazine and what I was told a B12 shot in my upper right arm. Was anyone given a B12 shot that has taken this product.

What To Think About
Phentermine is no longer marketed in Europe due to a possible association with heart and lung problems.1
It is not known whether these medications are safe to take for more than a few weeks.
Weight generally is regained after stopping medication.

This deceptive practice is injection with HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). HCG is a hormone extracted from urine of pregnant women. It is approved by FDA for treatment of certain problems of the male reproductive system and in stimulating ovulation in women who have had difficulty becoming pregnant. No evidence has been presented, however, to substantiate claims for HCG as a weight-loss aid.
