Topamax and racing heart?

Hi Everyone,

I've been prescribed Topamax for bulimia.  It hasn't really worked like I had hoped it would, though today is the first day I'm taking 100 mg.  I'm reading that some people don't notice a difference until they get to this level.  What I do notice is a huge increase in anxiety and my heart is racing.  I usually run, and I can run without my heart feeling like its going to pop out of my chest.  I have insomnia too.  My dr. said its not listed as a side effect, so she's not sure what's going on.

Has anybody else had this happen?  She gave me seroquel to help me sleep, but I'm afraid to take it because I'm afraid it will make me hungry.

Hey there I was prescribed topamax for bulimia to. I am on 200mg and it works like a dream.  

I am also a runner and am experiencing the same side effect and have stopped running because of it. I can't find any information online about it as a side efdeck either. I'm hoping as our body's get used to it it will go away.
