Start with diet and exercise. You don't mention whether you are overweight or a Type II diabetic, but sometimes those things are connected with high cholesterol. You can't control your HDL and LDL, just your consumption of fat from animal products. If you over eat meat or full-fat dairy, you will have problems. Try modifying your diet and exercise to see if you can get your cholesterol to below 200 before you go on statin drugs. The guidelines are to try this for about 6 weeks before going on medication.
Sounds like you might have some metabolic syndrome going on. That's a combination of high cholesterol/triglycerides, impaired fasting glucose, etc.
What about blood pressure levels?
My glucose was also high I have to take another test this week
HDL is the good cholesterol; LDL is the bad. Triglycerides are fat molecules in the blood.
There are different things that cause high cholesterol, so there's no "one size fits all" for getting it under control. Often, diet and exercise can help.
A major cause of high cholesterol is hypothyroidism. You should ask your doctor to test your Free T3, Free T4 and TSH to determine whether or not you have hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can also cause weight gain and/or make it very difficult to impossible to lose weight.
Actually, we're a weight loss and dieting forum and the only reason I can answer your questions about cholesterol is because I have that issue myself, and I also have the hypothyroidism that so often goes with it.
I can't answer your questions about the fatty liver; you don't say if you're overweight, but I know fatty liver can also happen to thin people under some circumstances.
Are your blood sugar levels good?
