Sunday Weigh In - May 20, 2012

Good morning, everyone.   Well, here we are, with another week gone by, and I hope everyone has done well.

Not much going on in my world, these days, which is nice for a change.  Everything is pretty settled down with my Auntie, so we don't have a daily crisis, anymore - just every once in a while!!  LOL   Unfortunately, my best friend lost her husband, unexpectedly, the other day, so that was pretty tough to deal with.

I've done really well, diet-wise, this week; have really been keeping portions down, and sticking with "good", as in healthy, things.  That's the good part.

I didn't do much in the form of exercise this past week.  It's getting really hot outside, so walking is pretty uncomfortable, unless it's done around daylight.  I did work out on the Wii Fit a couple of times. I have to change my routine, to make sure I fit in at least 30 minutes of exercise during the day.  Why is it that we can get up and go to work every day, at the same time, but we can't exercise at the same time, every day?  I have to figure that out!!

Anyway, I got lucky and my weight hasn't changed, overall.  Of course, as is usual, I've bounced around all week, but not as much as I have been; I've only had a couple pounds difference vs the 5-7 lbs/day I was having for a while.  I do still have some fluid retention, but it's much more in control than it was for a while, and I'm not limited, only to flip flops for shoes!!   So, I started the week at 149 lbs and ended the same.  Would have been nice to see a loss, but there's always this week.

So, now, I'm on my way out to trim a bush - that will be my exercise for today!!  Actually, it's a sago palm and quite large, so this will be a big project.  Gotta get started before it gets too hot.

Hoping that everyone else is doing well, and met their goal, or at least is on course.

Remember:  we win by losing -- weight.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week.

If it will help give encouragement to anyone, I'll be happy to restart the Sunday Weigh In.

Yes, it's too hot to walk now, unless I do it at/before sunrise, and I only have fields to walk in, with nearly waist high grass/weeds, so that leaves my feet and legs soaked with dew, which results in rash and itching on my legs and problems with the skin on my feet from sloshing around in wet shoes. We  have sidewalks in our small town, but those are over 1/2 mile from my home, and still have to walk through the field to get there.

I have a beagle who is getting fatter, because she's not getting the daily walk, like she did in winter and I need to start walking her more; I'll need to find an alternative to the fields. It's a dilemma.

I see you too find it too hot to walk outside here in FL.

I bought a large exercixe ball and it sits in the closet. I look at it and mean to use the mini disk that I got with it at Christmas....a gift from me!

Need some encouragement as I am up to 175 from 178!

Any chance of starting here? PS added pics of the pets. Maybe a private pic of my current profile would be possible.

I haven't done one for the past few weeks, due to lack of participation; however, will be happy to start again.
