Smaller Waist?

Hello!
For a while now, I'm been interested in getting a smaller waist.
These are my measurments: 40-34-41

I really wanna reduce it a few inches (maybe three or four).
Nothing too extream (I'm not lookin' for an 18" waist or anything ;3).

Corset/waist training is something that I have been serisouly thinking about, but at this point in time, not something I'm going to invest in and get too into (at 17, I don't wanna do any sort of body modification).

I've been trying to find exercises to get a smaller waist, but I mostly come up with stuff that promotes abs, something I don't want.

So, does anyone know any ways I might be able to lose a few inches off my waist? :)

I'll try and check out yoga (I'd have to see if any of my friends would wanna go lol I have terrible social anexity and just the thought of going yoga alone makes me nervous.
It's just so hard for me to find exercises that don't physically hurt, ya know?
A few backs, I was in a 5 car pile up and the drivers seat broke and slide back, hitting my legs, and these disks in my legs are all wonky now, and rub together and cause quite a bit of swelling and pain. And from being rear ended, twice (technically four times, but I won't get into that lol) gives me lots of back trouble too (I'm still doing some physical therpy for all this), but I'll try looking into yoga :3

I totally agree with ShyTeen.  You can't spot reduce; you can either lose weight all over or do exercises to "tone" your muscles.

Walking is always a good choice; yoga is another.  Yoga is based on proper breathing, relaxation, stretching; it will lengthen you muscles and make you look sleek and slim all over.
