I had gotten down to my goal weight, and even exceeded my goal last year. Then, life happened.
My back injury, subsequent surgery, and continued chronic pain and medications have derailed me a bit. I fell back into the old habits of self medicating...my drug of choice?
Food.
I've regained nearly 15 pounds. I pledge to begin on Monday morning (yes, I should begin today, but I'm not. Shoot me).
I pledge to be a part of the Monday morning weigh ins, and to record my food in the Food Diary here. Although I hate that the mobile version doesn't work. I'll continue to use a mobile app that I love, and will manually transfer the intake here on Med Help.
Take a peek (pun intended) at Healthy Cooking if you can. We're totally stoked about the first ever recipe slide show, which will feature healthier holiday recipes, with pictures. If you have a holiday recipe that is unhealthy, post it and we'll all work on a remake.
Please consider helping out. The holidays are no excuse to regain. There are many, many healthy entrees and side dishes....and yes, desserts to serve and be proud of.
Get cooking, and whip out that camera!
