I certainly have to second the recommendation to try yoga......it's my favorite type of exercise and everything adkalanna said about it is true............
Yoga stresses breathing, balance, stretching, relaxation, but it can also "kick your butt" into gear.
Also agree that it would be helpful if you could let us know what types of food you normally eat and the approximate number of calories you consume/day; along with the type/amount of exercise you currently get. That information will be very useful in helping you come up with a weight loss plan; and like Elaine said "there's no safe, fast way" - but we want to you to do it safely and be able to keep the weight off.
What is your goal for the next 4 months (i.e. how much weight would you like to lose)?
We've got a weight loss challenge going (look for the posts) -- you are welcome to join...........
drink water and cranberry juice, no too much, everything in moderation, lots of fruit and veggies, cut your normal portions of red meat and starches (like potatoes) in half at lease, and try yoga. there are a lot of great free sites and shows that will give you the basics but go with what your comfortable with, and the best part is it's low impact so your less likely to hurt yourself or have a heart attack on your first day, and IT WORKS! i have a very shapely mid section and haven't done one single sit-up or crunch since my senior year of high school 15 years ago! it will also help calm those wedding jitters, you'll stay more focused on what ever your doing, and your husband-to-be will be very impressed at how flexible and limber you are for your honeymoon!
Unfortunatly there is no safe fast way to lose weight, the best way to do it is by sensible healthy eating and exercise,
If you are just starting out you will see a good weight drop for a couple of months,
what kinds of things are you eating now and what exercise do you do?
this will help us know how best we can help
