Mornings I drink a smoothie (7:30 a.m.):
One banana, an orange, handful of raw spinach, handful of natural granola, handful of natural almonds, handful of natural walnuts, handful of chia seeds, cup of water & a tablespoon of coconut oil(add oil after serving in glass & mix well). You can switch it up, how ever you want your smoothie to be. If the smoothie doesn't fill me up, I eat a bowl of fiber one cereal with 2% milk.
Snack (10 a.m.):
Apple & raw baby carrots. Half liter of water
Lunch (12:30 p.m.):
Chicken salad with a lot of lettuce, spinach, & raw broccoli. Half liter or a whole liter of water.

Dinner (5:30 p.m.):
One grilled chicken breast, steak, or fish (grilled in coconut oil), raw veggies, raw spinach, & lettuce. Liter of water.
Snack (7:00 p.m.):
Same as the other snacks. Half liter of water.
You don't have to eat exactly the same things I just mentioned. Use it as a guide to help you out. Mix it up with the healthy foods you like. If you drink soda, leave it behind. I don't recommend any type of juice because of all the sugars it contains. Don't eat any type of junk food. Try to go swimming, fastest way to lose weight & It also massages all of your organs. Walking 30 minutes everyday also is healthy & another fast way to lose weight.
I also take Turmeric, dietary supplement tablets that are 100% natural. It has helped me with my health & it has helped me lose weight as well. Hope this helps you out & good luck (:

One does not have to be "addicted to food" for shakes not to work. Food is what keeps us alive. A good healthy diet that allows one to actually eat, will allow one to lose weight just as easily as all the fads and shakes.
Of course, we're all different and what works for one, might not work for someone else. The bottom line is that we should all do what works for us as long as we lose weight in a healthy manner that we can sustain over the long term.
I think it is a great idea to replace a cople of meals with the fruit-vegetable shakes you make yourself !!!!!
your body will love it !!!!
it appears some people do not like it because they are addicted to food, please do NOT let that keep u from trying it !!!!
God Bless always !!!!
I think I'll just be counting calories & cutting back on white carbs instead of meal replacement shakes . hope it works
Shakes can be used to replace some meals, if, as I noted, a good quality protein powder is used in them. Whey protein is, typically, recommended, though I've seen pea powder recommended as well. Not sure of the protein content in pea powder. I steer clear of soy, at all costs.
I wouldn't recommend replacing your meals with shakes, you are not consuming the protien you would need. Shakes are a great snack, try a eat every 3 hours to help keep your metabolism active. The key to losing weight is a balanced diet stick to a big breakfast (oats or eggs) a medium lunch and a small dinner. Also exercise regularly, weight training as well as cardio. Don't ever believe the quick fixes to weigh loss because they will only make you put more weight on when you finish.
Hope that helps!
I've done it, but I found it wasn't something I could sustain for very long. There are tons of great smoothie recipes, and it's good for maybe one meal a day. I found that eating breakfast and lunch was best, then a smoothie for dinner.. make sure you add a good quality protein powder to it, to insure that you get adequate amounts of protein.
I might add that I did not lose weight on that regimen, because the shakes/smoothies did not satisfy me. I finally realized that I have to actually EAT something to satisfy my need to chew something.
As far as I'm concerned, you're just as well off to calculate your calorie needs, based on your age, weight and height, then implement a healthy diet and exercise program, which can utilize the shakes, but not center around them.
