I'd agree that this is the best way to use Slim Fast. It simply isn't healthy or sustainable to follow the full 'programme'or to do it in the long run.

Hiya,
I did the slim fast diet and only lasted about a week because it made me feel very sick and light headed and i didn't lose any weight but i did only do it for a week.
I keep slimfast (or equivalent) on hand all the time for those times when I need something quick, and yes, I have lost weight on them. The problem is that you can't stay on them indefinitely, so as soon as you start eating normally again, you regain the weight.
As far as the nutrient value goes, they actually have more nutrients than a lot of foods we eat these days. While I don't recommend replacing 2 meals/day with slimfast, having a shake for breakfast or lunch now and then won't hurt you.
I'm sure that people have but imo they're pretty much a con - and not good for you. Any meal replacement diet is never going to give you all the nutrients your body needs (despite how much and many nutrients the shake might be 'fortified' with).
Although you've probably heard it a million times before, there is no quick miracle fix, you've got to eat less, eat healthier and exercise more.
