I don't know if I should keep this baby?

I already have a ten year old and my parents would be disappointed. I'm almost 30. I don't know what to do.

I thought I had a miscarriage, but I dont think there was enough blood. All hpts are still positive. Super confused.

Hi, well,  you have choices and that is a great thing for women sweetie.  You don't have to have a baby if you don't want to.  Abortion is an option that many pick because it is best for their situation.  There is so much involved when we have a baby that it is understandable when it isn't the best option for us to have one at a certain point in our life.  A 10 year old will not know you were even pregnant and  no explanation would be required.  And you go on about your life being more careful in the future.

There's also adoption which can be win win.  You do not have to care for a baby when it is not something you are wanting to do but then another family gets to have a baby they long for.  But you do have to go through a pregnancy and answer all the questions and go through  birth and all of that.

Or you could keep the baby.  You know what that is like already as you are already a mom.  Wonderful and a heck of a lot of work and responsibility.  As your 10 year old is very far out of the baby stage, it could be hard imagining going back to that.  But I'm sure if you choose to do this, you'll be just fine.

So, if I were you---   I'd make pros and cons list of these three options and really don't factor in anyone else's opinion (some are very against some of the options but this is YOUR life sweetie and they won't be there to help you )----  really look at the options and the good and bad of them realistically and picture yourself with each option and choose which is the very best for you.

I'm happy to chat with you with no judgment on any of the options at any time.

big hugs and good luck with your decision

Honey don't let you get down like this! You have a 10 year old baby and you can manage it! I am 31 years old and my oldest daughter is 10 and younger one is 8 and i am now 12 weeks pregnant! I thought the same! Its difficult *money*no work* how can i do this!
But don't ya worry! There is lot of places for help! And talk with your babygirl! She would love to help you with everything! She would understand you! You can go true this!
My advice ; don't make a abortion appointment! Its hard but in the end you would be happy that you didn't went to this abortion clinic!
But its still your life! Do what its good for you and your babygirl! If you haven't the strain to have this baby!
But never do things or take advices whats best for your family friends staingers but You can save the advice but never follow a advice when you are not comfortable with!

I am 15 and pregnant and my whole family doesn't know my situation. Everybody started pushing adoption and telling me I'll miss out on life blah blah blah. I decided from day 1 nobody would make such a big decision for me and that I wanted and loved my baby. Eventually everyone has come to accept it and my gra mother who once pushed adoption now is saying she's excited to meet her in a few weeks. You can get on financial aid. There's food stamps. Wic. All of that would help so much. I'm on it and the only thing I need help buying is diapers, but I baby sit for money so I'm good. I've been lucky enough for people to give me most of my baby stuff. Gently used but in great condition. Don't give up something you want because of someone else. It may be hard but you can do it. And any family that will cut you off because you would bring another life I'm to the world is very cold. That's not what family I'm not what family is about and I'm sorry you're dealing with that. I believe you can do it xoxo

Thank you guys for your input. In the back of my mind I want to keep the baby, but everybody close to me says to get an abortion. There is no way, I'm telling my parents until I make a final decision. It's not just my parents; my aunt and my grandma would be livid as well. My parents help finacially (cell phone/ car insurance/ after school) They said if I have another baby, I'll be cut off from the family. They are still getting over the fact I had my daughter as a teenager. I've never looked at a positive pregnancy test and been able to be happy. What some women spend their whole life dreaming about or spend 60k+, my body does well and there is always shame surrounding it. Its hard being pregnant when everybody already judges me for having one already out of wedlock, now another?! The father of this baby says he won't give the baby up for adoption, so I have to rule that out. He wants me to have the baby. I own my own condo, but there isn't enough room for the baby. I recently quit my job, kicked my boyfriend out of the house when I became pregnant and have no insurance. As of birth control, it failed. Yes, my daughter wants a sibling but she also had to have this easy bake oven and its been looked at once. I can't really let her dictate the status of my uterus.

I'm going to talk to a midwife before my appointment at the abortion clinic. I'm scared. I put this out there, so obviously I knew there would be a few negative comments. I just feel overwhelmed and don't want to feel as stupid as I was at 17, but I guess I didn't change. I just feel guilty I have a baby growing inside of myself and I don't deserve it.

Next time used birth pill control pills  or Condon instead of having sex without protection  be more responsable . So you won't get pregnant.  And please do not take baby life away give your baby on adoption I'm sure so many women  would love to have your baby as their daughter  or son .  Please pray  God bless you in the name of jesus amen   , he can listen to your heart life is a precious gift from God .

I agree with the others! You're an adult & you need to make the decision for yourself not because of what your parents think! I was adopted & it's definitely the best thing to do rather than abortion. One other thing would your 10 year old like a little brother/sister?

Your parents will get over the disappointment end of the day its your life not theirs and if you get rid of a baby just so they wont be let down can you really live with that? Youre a grown woman and should be making choices that you want not for your parents sake...i really hope you keep your baby and if you dont please go for adoption, theres so many childless couples out there that would give anything to raise that baby

I agree with everyone else. You are a grown women with a 10 year old. I am a very strong believer that God only gives you what you can handle. I went through the same thinking you did when I first found out because I was being pressured that a baby isn't a good time right now. And I stuck with my heart and said f him. Im doing this. And I could never be any happier. There's so many women who would love a child that can't and too many who use an abortion as birth control. If you feel strongly that you can't take care of the baby put it up for adoption. Atleast you will know you did the best you could for him/her. Keep your head up and don't base your decision on anybody?else's. It's hard enough with all the emotions we go through within ourselves.
