Hello,
This can be due to irregular period or oligomenorrhea. The causes could be benign tumors of pituitary gland. It could be due disease of thyroid gland like thyrotoxicosis, hormonal imbalance, pcos (cyst in ovary) etc. Alternately you can consult a gynecologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. Hello,
Considering your light and infrequent periods and difficulty in conceiving, it is important to rule out any PCOS which can cause both. It is a problem in which a woman’s hormones are out of balance. So ovaries develop more follicles than normal every month.Diagnostic tests are 2 hr GTT,serum androgen and testosterone levels,LH-FSH ratio, prolactin levels,TSH levels,17-hydroxyprogesterone levels and 3D ultrasound done.
You should consult a gynecologist to get it evaluated.
