Both control

I am sexually active & I would like to take birth control to have a greater chance at not getting pregnant. We do use condoms but I just want to take more precaution. And I was wondering where I can get it & what do I need to get it? Do I need a guardian to come with me to? your help would be very appreciated thanks! (:

Hi there. I first want to comment that there are no doctors here and we really can't tell you specifics for your situation such as cost or specifics of what will happen with your doctor.  If you are under 18, you are under yoru parents care and generally parents are involved in medical decisions if you go to your family doctor or have your mom take you to an ob/gyn. .

Planned Parenthood will see young ladies under the age of 18 without parental consent and they provide birth control pills there.  Look into that as they are in most major cities.  One of the purposes of Planned Parenthood is to help young ladies be safe without fear of repercussions from mom and dad.  This may be a good place for you to try.

If your mom is open to it, it would be best that she took you to her doctor and you were prescribed birth control.  Then your family insurance would most likely cover it.  If she is not, try Planned Parenthood.  good luck hon

If you are under 18 you do need your parent to be there if you were to pick up birth controll.First of all you need to get a prescription from your doctor. And because of doctor patient confidentiality the doc wont tell your parents if you dont want them to know.Once you do that you can get some at Walgreen s but it is very  expensive there its about 29$ if you go to walmart though its around 10 but you need a parant guardian to be there with you to make the purchase.

Some states you may not need parental consent. Just call a Planned Parenthood in your area to find out for sure

If you are under 18 you need your parents consent. Also you will need to get a physical with the gynecologist in order to get prescribed birth control.
