Brown discharge

I am not supposed to be on my period, I have been off my perior for 1.5 weeks, I am on birthday control, and I am having brown liquidy discharge, what could that be?

It is common to sometimes spot "old" blood inbetween cycles...especially on birth control. I wouldn't be too concerned. As long as you're pain free as well.
