My last Depo shot was due in September but i did not take it.  I have not had a period, but i have spotted very lightly 2 times.  Which lasted for not even 2 days.  I have unprotected sex with my husbond since janurary.  I have gained weight(this has happened in the last 6 weeks).  I am always hungrey for stuff that i never eat.  And i feel tired all the time.  I was wondering if i could be prednant.   sk

I have been off the depo shot for four months and was on it for six months. I still haven't had my period. I've spotted very very lightly the past three months. My husband and I have been havin unprotected sex. And are wondering if I could be prego. My nipples have been really sensitive, been a lil more tired lately and feel hungrier then usual. Is there a good possibility I could be pregnant?

I took the depo shot once and was spotting the whole 3 months,i didnt go back for the second shot. I had a regular period on jan 1 and it lasted 8-9 days. I havent gotten my period or been spotting since. Its weird cuz I have never missed a period without being pg, but i have no symptoms. should i take a pregnancy test???

I got pregnant when I was on the depo shot, so things must have been still working for me, but my sister was in it for 4 years and has been off of it for a year now and still hasn't gotten her period. I think it just depends on the person. My Dr. told me that 6 months is about average. If you think you might be pregnant take a hpt. If neg. wait a week or two and then take another or go to your Dr. and get a blood test.
Good luck.

I was on the depo shot for 2 years and it took forever for my cycle to get back on track and I had pregnancy symptoms all the time but I was not, I think it was just the depo working it's way out of my system.  My doctor told me that sometimes it will take at least six months to get back on track again and some women don't even ovulate for 18 months so be patient. Good luck.

I was on depo for almost 8 years...My last shot was feb 06...
I still have not had a regular cycle...
My husband and I are ttc..and every month we are convinced that I am pregnant..
However I'm not...I continue to still have whacky periods...I have spotting this time around now for nearly 3 weeks.
My dr. said the average time for a normal cycle to continue again is around 6 months..
She did say though that in her experience it's more like a year.
Depo can really screw things up...
Good luck to you....
It will happen soon enough!

Ps...I have a whack of previous posts in the last few months re this issue..If you want to take a look.
