Got my period... Still feeling sick w/ false negative!

My last period was over a month late, and for a while I was worried I was pregnant. However, it finally came, but it was somewhat shorter than my normal periods (only about 4 1/2 days total). The flow was pretty much normal--full rich red, but then tapered off to a dark brown for the last two days. Not long after, I started feeling a bit on the sick side--my sides hurt and I was making frequent trips to the bathroom, only to find that little to no urine was coming out. I bought a pregnancy test and tested three days after my "period" came to find a negative test. I used the "dip into a cup for 20 seconds" method, however, I bent the absorbent tip in order to submerge the entire thing. Could this have thrown off my results? I've since still been feeling pretty strange, but my breasts do not hurt and I'm not terribly nauseous. I just don't feel "right." I still have one test left and plan on testing again should my symptoms worsen, but I have not had a sexual encounter since my "period" and I've come to doubt that an egg could have survived in my uterus during that time. If I am pregnant, how could it have been possible? And if I'm not, what could be causing my symptoms?

hi, it sounds to me like you have a urine track infection it can make you feel like you need to pee and give you pain, you will need to see a doctor, hope this helps
