I hate to ask this question because it's been asked so many times but.... (Peek, r u there?)

I'm 12 days late for my period and I'm NOT pregnant. I know so many women ask this question but mainly because they think they're PG. I KNOW I'm not so I just can't understand why I'm so darn late!

In the 20 years that I've been getting my period, I've never been late by more than a couple days.

I was due for AF on Sept 6 and she's a no show. I took a few HPTs and they're all BFNs.  I've recently started weaning my 11.5 month old from the breast but I'm not sure if that's playing any role.

What are the main reason/factors that cause a woman's menstral cycle to be so off?

P.S. I'm pretty sure I Oed almost a month ago because I had lots of ewcm which is making be even more baffled by my scenario.

Thanks ladies. I will make an appt with my GP this week. I know stress, diet, and BFing can affect ones cycle but I don't really think that any of those factors really apply to me right now.

Andi, I can't believe you don't mentruate while until you wean! That means almost 2 years without getting a period- wow! I got my first AF at 5 mo pp with DD#1 and 4 mo pp with this little girl.

I wish I had more info for you. The only think I could think of is the breastfeeding? I wouldn't know yet, but doesn't that mess your cycles up?  Stress also?

This might seem far fetched, but has there been any other women around you? I know when I started my new job, all the girls cycle's changed to mine and we were all on our monthly friend at the same time. One of the ladies I worked with was actually 2 weeks early. Everyone's cycle changed to mine. I was the alpha!!! lol!

I probably didn't help much but hopefully made you laugh a little???? Talk to you soon.

It could have to do with weaning. I never got my period until I weaned, so I cannot offer much advice on that. It would be highly unsual to ovulate and not have a period without being pregnant, but stranger things have happened I suppose ; )

Maybe you should put a call into the doctor to get their take on it. It is always better to know that spend your time wondering.
