Upper abdomen, Lower rib cage movement

I am not pregnant, but am feeling movement in my lower right rib cage, or upper abdomen. It is the same feeling I had when pregnant, like there is foot or hand of the baby moving in that area. I have had it for a few days now, and am wondering what it could possibly be. Thanks!

I honestly feel that it’s a trapped gas bubble! Two other people on this thread said that when they had ultrasounds, they saw gas bubbles. It was seen on mine too! They say it will go away. I don’t know.

I have this too, left and right side upper abdomen under the ribs.
Endoscopy showed sliding hiatal hernia so that explains some of my symptoms (more so the ones near the centre) but there feels like quite vigorous movements where I’ve described.
Sometimes as though someone is reaching in rummaging through!
I have GERD and a lot of indigestion so to conclude, I feel a lot of these sensations may well be down to trapped wind/gas, intestinal organs having little spasms and the likes

That sounds terrible.  Is your doctor providing any ideas for you to try?  I'm a big fan of probiotics just to promote good digestive health.  I have an issue now with gut flora that got wiped out.  I feel all sorts of 'movement'.  Like a circus going on in there.  I also have GERD but this is better when I lose weight.  How long have you had your issue?

Cryptic pregnancy. All tests are negative  and doesn’t show on ultrasound. Lasts longer than usual 9 months.

Hi, I've had this for the past month. It started to get really uncomfortable. Went to the ER. And they did a CT scan with contrast dye. He said I have a hiatal hernia, but he called it a "moving "hernia. My diaphragm has opened up and about 20% of my bowels were moving up into and out of my stomach almost continuously. It's not dangerous, he said, but I should have surgery. I believe its bringing up my b/p. I'm so dizzy and nauseas, I feel like I'm being kicked in the stomach. I hope this helps. God bless you all!! Thanks for writing in. I know it will help people who are looking for answers about this weird symptom. Good luck with your surgery, it sounds like it will be a blessing.
