Vaginal Swelling after sex

Ive been having the problem of when i have sex with my boyfriend i find that afterwards i am really swallon and my vagina walls really swell up badly. ive tried to take things slower using more lubricant and it doesn't seem to work. i have very sensitive skin which when scratched or bumped swells up a lot making a small scratch look really bad. i though maybe this had something to do with why it swells so bad. if anyone else has suffered from anything like this please get back to me and let me know what your suggestions would be or what worked for you. As its a growing problem for me and takes a good few days before i feel comfortable down there again. Thanks x x

I'm 18. My boyfriend and I have sex regularly. I stayed the night with him Friday and we had sex, then Saturday we had sex a few times. After so many times my vaginal will get sore and red. It hurts at first then it goes away. But today it wouldn't go away and his head was hurting me terribly. My thoughts were where we've doen it so much that my muscles and skin were tired and from the flight friction.

I suffer with the exact same problem that has been listed by everyone here. I seem to get a swollen vagina when my boyfriend and I have really fast sex, although it's nice in the moment it leaves bad effect. I visited my GP and she told me to bathe and take ibuprofen and she also prescribed me a cream called hydrocortisone. It works wonders. It's a sort of anti inflammatory cream and it has helped me so much. It doesn't work instantly but after some time it really helps. My GP also said I had thrush and gave me a tablet to clear it but I realised that if I had it, there's a chance my boyfriend has it too and when I got rid of the thrush and we had intercourse again it came back, so asking your boyfriend to visit his doctor would be a good help too I think.

My boyfriend and I had sex yesterday around 5 pm and its 10 am now and the swelling is mostly gone. The act went on for about 45 minutes which is less than half of the usual time we spend having sex. This is the first time I've ever been swollen after, im not sure the cause. Normally, the left lip of my vagina is a bit smaller than the right side but the left side is the one that swelled up it was red and puffy and sensitive but it didn't hurt or burn, just was uncomfortable to walk.
After we came he went on fingering me for a few minutes and that's when I realized I was swollen, he asked if he could eat me out for a bit but I said no cause I was embarrassed. Anyway, this morning the swelling is mostly gone, its still slightly bigger than normal and the lip is kinda stiff idk its weird. Also I noticed the skin surrounding and directly above my clitoris is a little puffy to the point where I cant really see my clit which has never happened before either, but that's why I think its all mostly due to the steep angle he used for quite a while and we didn't use lubricant cause I usually never need it. I plan on taking some of the advice that I've seen here, warm bath then ice and ibuprofen or something. I'll let anyone who wants to know the results later..

Me and my boyfriend haven't had sex for awhile and we had sex today, first off he started fingering me then it started to hurt so I asked him to spit on his hand (for more lubrication) and it felt alittle better, so then we started to have sex as soon as we started it hurt again I didn't say anything, so after half an hour I went to the bathroom to pee and it hurt really bad! So I took a mirror to look down there and my left vagina lip was swollen red and puffy, this has never happened before I don't know what too do somebody please help me!!

I have had that kind of problem before, it's only been going on for half a year or less but my virginal lips swell up after having sex and it's awful, I put cream on after and can't sit properly as it really hurts but I've never been with anyone else so it can't be anything bad and he's not been with anyone else we don't use anything but I'm on the pill. I just don't know why it's happening just recently maybe it's something were doing too often but I can't cope with it if it keeps happening.
