how can it be me?

I dont get it. I'm 16 and yesterday after my shower i was brushing my hair and looked in the miror and found a bald spot right in the middle of my head. I'm so scared i really dont want it to be anything serious but my mom wont take me to the doctor. but things like this dont just happen for no reason.. im scared.. Any advice?

I just found a bold spot on my head the size I think the tip of my ring finger and I just found it last night and I'm freaking out is there something I can do I think I feel lil hairs growing back but imnot sure is there Anyway to get th hair back

Hi. :)

Try and relax a bit here. It's very unlikely to be anything horrid. It could be alopecia (hair loss) which I believe can be treated. Sometimes hair just randomly falls out. Are you stressed at all? That's a possible cause. Also, be careful with how you style your hair. Do you backcomb it, colour it or use heat based stylers? All these could contribute to hair loss. Don't panic, if you lose anymore, go to the doctor and discuss it. You're 16 now, you don't have to avoid the doctors because your mum says so, it's your body. In the meantime, if it's noticeable, just style it so it isn't.
