It's a yeast infection.. people get them from eating differently, not getting enough exercise, ect. It throws off your pH level and can cause the infection. You can also get them from taking new medicine and what not.

I hope it helps you.

I had that issue too and found out that it was contact dermatitis to a new toilet paper. Once I stopped using it the swelling went down. However, because it lasted so long it caused a severe yeast infection that spread to other areas that i have been fighting, with professional medical help, for a couple of months. So it could be anything - different paper, detergent, soap, shampoo, conditioner - anything that can come into contact down there. The sooner you figure it out the better! I would hate for you to be in the situation that I am in.

im only 15 and i'm having the same problem, and im a virgin too and haven't done anything sexual so, when you get advice i would really appreciate it if you could let me know.
- also, i have asked for advice on other sites about this and some people have said it may be an STD, which couldn't be the case, and another girl said it was an allergic reaction to a shaving cream she had used, and ive also heard it was from playing with yourself too much, lol, which also couldn't be the case (for me) - and prolly not you :)

- but yea i would greatly appreciate it if you filled me in on some stuff if you ever find out, and i'll do the same.

thanks,  :)
