Hi Lexi, Well do agree with the doctor, get tested and if its right the your doctor will put you on antibiotics, Now as you should know that there is a big thing trying to wean people off antibiotics.
So please try this, google bv and sea salt, or bv and boric acid, or on earthclinic look under symptems at bv your should find ACV apple cider vinegar, as a cure, so lots of different ways for you to go.
Good Luck

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Going by your symptoms, it looks like bacterial vaginosis to me. It is the most common cause of abnormal vaginal odor and discharge. It is caused by a change in the type of bacteria found in the vagina.

In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin. Please do not use any vaginal douches.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
