getting pregnant

I had the mirena removed in june 2009. My husband and I are trying to have our 2nd child. Just wondering how long it will take..... I had no problem getting pregnant with the first one who is now almost 4 years old. I had a period about a week after the mirena was removed but i haven't had one in july. We have been trying and i havent had a period this month but took 2 pregnancy test and both came back neg. Could I be pregnant???? My breast are tender, im cramping, tired could but just be late and getting ready to start???? We really want another one just wondering if it will take long

Hi, I had my Mirena IUD removed this past Nov. My periods resumed within 3 weeks. It did take me 5 months to get preggers.  Every woman seems to be different. I know of some who got pregnant immediately and others took up to a year.
Good luck!

Hi!
Take a test!  Fertility returns with the very next cycle when the Mirena is used.  I have had at least one patient who never had a period after it was removed (because of pregnacy). If it doesn't happen this month, it is likely to happen soon.  I would recommend checking in with your MD if your cycles aren't regular, or if it has been longer than 6 months with no luck!
Good luck!
