I had a normal stress test (chemical) and normal 42 hr holter. Why is an echo cardiogram and cardioid artery gram being done

This discussion is related to Validity of echocardiogram vs thallium stress test.

You may want to discuss with your doctor to possibly treat anxiety. Your doctor is looking for a complete workup to rule out anything serious, and it doesn't mean you have any serious condition that casn't successfully treated.  Unfortunately, I neglected to have periodical physical exams, and I am paying for that now. Taske care all is well.

Thank you this Holter was for 24 hrs and during this time my heart did not flutter: Flutter is intermittent. I thought I was suffocating and felt nervous and teary eyed almost like crying during what is deemed  as a normal stress test.  I would hate to see what happens in one abnormal, I have the echo planned as well as a cardioid scan I am confused.  I know I am not crazy and wonder why the feelings I experience if all is well

A stress test is given to help diagnose chest pain due to vessel(s) occlusions.  A holter helps detect any abnormal heart rhythms.

An echo can evaluate the heart's structure that includes heart wall dimensions, chamber size, heart valve functionality, right and left ventricle contractility as evidenced by heart blood volume pumped with each heartbeat, etc.
