It's not necessarily cause for concern. With my boys I gained very little. I lost in the beginning and only gained back about 15-16 lbs each....most in the last trimester. As long as your doctor is not concerned then you shouldn't be either. It's not always about weight gain. I have actually come out of a couple of my pregnancies smaller than when i started them. As long as baby is healthy that is the most important thing.
Unless your baby isn't growing properly, like your uterus expanding more, or noticeable in ultrasounds, i wouldn't be concerned.
I am pregnant with my first and I have seriously gained 80 pounds. Consider yourself lucky!
a Friend of mine only gained 14 lbs in her hole pregnancy and she was normal weight and they say you should gain 25-30 if your normal weight and her baby is healthy.
im 22 weeks and i was underweight and i have gained 12 lbs almost what she gained i her entire pregnancy.
As long as your baby is growing properly i dont think thats a problem
Im the same as you, losing weight rather than putting on. In the first 3-4 months I couldnt eat because of sickness - which wore off when I was around 15 weeks. Im still not very hungry and rarely crave anything. Also I only feel my bean moving when Im sitting or lying down in bed at night - very strong sometimes!! I think its completely normal. My midwife and the sonographer haven't shown any concern in this and scan shows that beans fine.
Hope you feel some comfort in knowing that your not in this alone! Take care of yourself and your bump! x
