When I started K bug on purees I gave her one ice cube which is about 1oz.
I used a magic bullet also. I really wanted the baby bullet but couldn't justify spending that much on something I pretty much already have along with my food processor and ninja. I use an ice cube tray with a lid to freeze in single servings then pop out and put in a ziploc bag. She now eats 2 cubes. I try to feed her purees at least twice a day. Sometimes we only get breakfast.
I have tried to do a routine and schedule but every time I think we got one down she changes her sleeping times.
They suggest feeding new foods in the morning so if there is any issues upset belly or anything you have the day to deal with it and not keeping you and baby up all night.
Good luck.
How much formula is Fynn drinking in a day? The recommendations are for 28-32 ounces at his age - but he is drinking a little less and still gaining weight properly, then I would not worry - unless he is drinking less than 20oz a day - then I would speak to your pediatrician.
If he is not drinking close to 28 oz, I might wait on the purees. Babies get the most important nutrition from breast milk or formula and solids are mainly for practice and flavor. 1 tbps here and there will not hurt him but you do not want to create a situation where he gets full on purees and then drinks even less formula.
My Finn is finally on somewhat of a schedule - he eats oatmeal mixed with fruit in the am, veggies around lunch time, and veggies and fruit for dinner - we also just started giving him meat. We also give him fruits and steamed veggies in one of those mesh self feeders - he loves broccoli that way! When we started, I gave him 1 tbs (we also started with sweet potatoes - pureed with my breast milk) in the evening - just to get him used to it. Some people start in the morning - I say just do what works for you.
Good luck.
That's so fun!!! Amiah's favorite food is avocado with garlic. I'm not sure how much to give your Fynn. I just feed Amiah until she's full. I use a magic bullet too. Have fun! I love making food.
