It all started seven months ago. I was eating cookies and milk on a Saturday night and after done I started feeling this tightness in my upper stomach the kind that you feel like there is too much gas and you need to burp but it still doesn't bring relief. It felt scary so I tried to vomit but couldn't and somehow managed to fall asleep. Next day I woke up and ate some chocolate and it gave me the worst indigestion with heartburn. Since then I was never the same. My initial symptoms were heartburn only. Went to the doc was put on ppi which didn't work. Next doc nexium for a month and Carafate and Regan and I felt the most relief was from Carafate. At that point my symptoms changed it was no more heartburn really (maybe occasionally) but I started getting this constant burning in the pit of my stomach that just varies in intensity. It also shifts to the right and goes through my back feeling Like a bruise. I never ever feel anything to the left. It also sometimes goes to my chest, neck and throat(always only on the right side). It feels like I can draw the pain line splitting my body down the middle. I'm eating bland boring diet and the quality of life is gone with the constant pain. About me 35years old female 112lb. To this date I had two endoscopies only found mild, chronic, antral gastritis, esophageal mannometry normal, 72hour bravo pH study normal, ultrasound normal no stones, bloodwork normal, the only abnormal finding was my hida scan with the ef of 92%. Since I'm always in pain the cck felt like usual plus some extra little cramping on the right by the rib. Also after the scan I hardly made it home because of the worst case of burning diarrhea I ever had. I mean I literally thought I won't be able to make it home and I'm about ten minutes away from the facility. My bm are normal to softer consistency consistency but definitely lighter in color and always float (sorry tmi just trying to be as specific as possible). I also wanted to note that before I got sick I was constantly watching what I eat no red meat , crackers but unfortunately not a lot fruit or vegetables (don't like them much). For the past year I came up with this stupid diet to keep myself thin but still enjoy couple of things. I would eat very low fat and "healthy" all week then on Sunday it would be my cheating day and I mean I would wake up and eat a whole chocolate followed by endless m&m's and muffins and fries and ice cream maybe 3 or 4 times that day. Now that I think back I would always have 3 or 4 bm on Sundays. So I'm thinking did I make my gallbladder go crazy is hyperkinetic gallbladder giving me a bile reflux and that's why there is constant pain. I mean the doctor I saw because I was ready to get the anti reflux surgery told me all my findings are normal and the mild gastritis can't cause all that pain (I didn't have the hida scan done yet) and he said I don't have gerd so what do I have. Sorry for a very long and tmi post. I was trying to explain everything in detail in case somebody is going thru something similar and could offer advice. If anybody had surgery for gallbladder with high ef could you let me know the results and what your symptoms were. Thank you on advance and again sorry for a long, boring post. Anna
