I'm wondering the same thing ...I'm 40w+5 and I've not experience anything really uncomfortable .. I can't differentiate between baby movement or contractions .. My induction will start tomorrow and I really wanted to have a natural birth..
My induction also starts today! Good luck mama! I really wanted to have a natural birth as well, but bub is just too comfy in there ):
Hey... How are you feeling? I'm so scared/excited about seeing my little boy.. I can't believe it
Got a call from the hospital saying that they are too busy and have to wait until tomorrow. Was so upset at first, but what's one more day? I hope everything is going well for you! They said I should expect a call anywhere from 7am on throughout the day for me to go in, so its huge going to be a huge waiting game till then ):
Wow... They will keep me at the hospital today but the Dr will break my water tomorrow morning.. They said they are going to start with cytotec first to start the contractions.. I guess I won't see my little baby till tomorrow. I hope they call you early morning, it is so frustrated to have to wait more
That makes two of us (: are you dilated at all or effaced? Today at my appointment they said I was 2cm and 80% effaced. (Better than it was last Monday at 1cm) I really want to avoid a c section if I can,and the whole inducing thing has me on edge for it
And also I've never heard of cytotec being used to start contractions before. Here (Canada) we have a gel they put on the cervix to help soften cervix and hopefully start contractions, or they start you on pitocin.
I'm 1cm dilated and 80% effaced... Cytotec is similar to the gel but it is in a tablet form.. I was having contractions (I didn't even notice them- they were like 6 min apart), but after the cytotec they became like 2 min apart.. But I'm still 1cm... I will try to walk around and see if that helps.. I'm also trying to avoid a csection and I don't even want to get an epidural.. Hopefully I will be able to make it
I want to try and not get a epidural as well. Hope everything is going good! I'm just awake waiting for that phone call Lol hoping they call soon...
Contractions felt like period cramps. If you can do housework through them they are likely braxton hicks. When they stop you in your tracks or you have to breathe through them and you don't look forward to the next one those are the real ones. Take walks because it helps!
So I had to get an epidural.. I've been here since yesterday and nothing.. My contractions were so strong that I couldn't take it anymore.. I felt bad but I almost lasted an entire day without it, but they became so strong that I couldn't even breath.. Good luck.. Hope everything is going well
Went to the hospital today for 4 hours only for them to send me home because there wasn't enough room for me still. Apparently there is a line up of five other women also waiting to be induced. So they said I may get a call tomorrow to come in. Cried all the way home I was so disappointed.. But isn't going to be long now.
