yellow stool and dirrhea

I have had yellow stool off and on for over a month now with diarrhea and gas and some slight upper right side pain below my rib cage and not a very good appetite i only get hungry at night it all started when my doctor said i had a high alt of 69 and every thing else was normal on my liver test and i freaked out i do suffer from anxiety when somthing goes wrong i think the worse.So to be safe i had the docter test me for hep a-b-c all where neg and my liver test went back to normal but i was still having the problems and so i then had a ultra sound done one month after the liver test where done and everything on the ultra sound was normal and the er doctor did another liver panal again and all is still normal My doctor says that I have ibs from stressing so much over my liver it did all start when i found out that my alt was high..And started reading about sighs and symtoms..but other wise i was happy and healthy before i had the test done my ? is should i be happy with what my doctor says about ibs..I do have app with a gi in a few weeks because iam very scared of cholecystitis iam always thinking i might have that but i do fill a little better that my ultra sound was normal so could i be suffering from ibs?

well cleaned the colon out real well had my colonosopy and i was clean as a whisle my gi is saying that i have a bad case ibs from the major stress over my liver i was a beer drinker for seven years but not real heavy see what scares me so bad is that i have the symtoms of early stage of liver problems i itch sometimes for no reason..Still not eating like i use to i only go to the bathroom in the morning somtimes my urine is dark but my gi say the reason my urine is dark somtimes is that i dont drink enuff water and why i itch and not eating alot is because of my stress of worring over my liver all four of my urine test that i have had done come back normal so i just cant beleave that nerves can really do this to a body i do have a family case of (GAD) in the family my mother has it real bad..I do somtimes fill better when i talk about it...

It seems as if you are not quite as anxious this post. I am glad for that. It sounds like good news about your liver. I still think you would absolutely benefit from a colon cleanse. I know you are having diarreah, but that is just a symptom of a very toxic colon. I still think you are very yeasty, and that's probably where you should start. Check out your local health store for recommendations on getting started if that's what you decide to do. Good luck and please keep me updated.

well i go into tommorrow for my test still having the problems with yellow stool but somtimes it looks like trys to get it normal brown color back its more like my food i eat doent stay in my body long enuff and kinda blows threw me i can see that i have spasemes in my stomach and i havnt had a bowel movment yet today sould i be happy with the work up i have had done with my liver my gi says that my liver is just fine no inlarge ment of the liver are the spleen etc and he is saying as well a non reveling liver test is good but i have read that you can still have liver problems even if your liver test come back normal???

If the doc is dx'ing candidasis overgrowth, then why Flagyl?  Flagyl is an anti-bacterial med -- if you have a yeast problem, then you need an anti-fungal agent.  

Maybe there are coexisting infections???

There is a correlation between your emotional state and digestive disorders. You absolutely must try to find out why you are in such distress. I think it must go farther than your health. It is very worrying when you know something is not quite right, and having yellow diarreah is definitely not right. It is also hard when you don't feel good, everything is magnified and seems so much worse. You must find some support, whether it's from friends, family and most important find a doctor who you can communicate well with and who you feel is really listening to what you say.I can only recommend you do a whole body detox starting with your colon and then your liver and progress from there. You may find your answers in alternative medicine such as chiropractic or a good naturopath. I know it helped me. I wish you good health and peace of mind. I can feel your pain and worry and am wishing you the best.

Well iam still having the yellow stools after taking the flagel iam very scared my doctors are saying its my nerve and stress causing my problem it all did start right after i found out my alt was was a little high my hand sweat really bad lost 20 pounds in two months lost the will to eat i just wondering if nerves can really do this to your body i just cant get it out of my head i fill like its going to get worse and iam going to die they are going to do a colonoscopy on the third of the month and my gi doctor say he knows it will come out fine but he is doing this test for a pease of mind and he say the the blood i have somthimes in my stool is from hemroids and i do fill alot better at night can anyone make since to this????

thanks for the info can you still have candidis problem even if stool samble is neg??

If you have yeast, then you need to be doing a very strict yeast diet along with a good probiotic and yeast/fungal detox. It takes a lot longer than a few days to get a yeast problem under control. Once you have it, it is very difficult to get rid of.

Well went and seen gi the other day and he says the i have candidasis can this happen with males and i was also neg for h.pylori he put me on flagyl i have been on it almost three days and i seem still not getting much better and my stool samples where neg as well but he seem to be not worried to much he say to keep taking the meds for the ten day course iam still freaking out that there is somthing going wrong with my liver are am i just being a worried person to much???

As mentioned previously, IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion.  That being said, the workup for liver and gallbladder disease is pretty good with hepatitis being ruled out, non-revealing liver function tests, and normal abdominal ultrasound.

A normal ultrasound would make cholecystitis unlikely.  If you wish to pursue more tests, a HIDA scan can be done to further evaluate for this disease.  

If the liver and gallbladder are normal, you can consider a colonoscopy to evaluate for colitis or inflammatory bowel disease.  Each of these disorders can discolor the stool as well.  

You can discuss these options with your personal physician.
