Any idea what's going on?

I've been ill for over 6 months- went through some hectic ebv symptoms the past six months and the blood showed an ebv reactivation. My symptoms have somewhat changed now, ebv pcr has come back negative, however I am still not well. Huge fatigue, anxiety, some sleep issues, achy body. I was wondering if this could be me/ Cfs or if my body just needs more time to recover from the ebv? I also still have a swollen gland under my chin that is being very stubborn.

Hi lisajohn. I just signed in today and saw your question. I am about 6 months ahead of you, but your symptoms sound very much like mine except that my EBV number keeps rising. I was diagnosed with CFS almost immediately (I have a really good GP). Also diagnosed with several other related diseases, including fibromyalgia that I never even suspected I had. After a couple of months of research, I found (don't know where you live) a special clinic, The Hunter-Hopkins Clinic in Charlotte, NC that treats only CFS and related diseases. Expensive but well worth every penny! I am certainly no doctor, but your symptoms sound like CFS. Keep knocking down doctor doors and don't quit until someone gives you an acceptable answer. I had a doctor who just dismissed my symptoms early on as depression. So I fired him and went to another doctor. I have cognitive problems as well, but not enough to know THAT doctor was just lazy. I kept questioning myself every day that maybe this was just in my head. Don't do that. This is not in your head. You ARE sick. Maybe it isn't CFS, but it IS something. Make some doctor find it. Good luck!
