COPD-QUESTIONS

I am a 62 year old woman and was diagnosed with COPD ten years ago. Lately, I have been having extreme hard breathing issues. When I bend over and come back up, I am totally panicked and out of breath, my nose runs, my head throbs and it is terrifying to breathe. I am soon to see a pulmonary doctor but not soon enough. Luckily, I quit smoking so that helps. I use Trelegy and the emergency inhaler. I am baffled as to what is wrong with me. I have no mucous, no cough and airways seem to be open. Any ideas, guys?

It is VERY frightening to have this happen so I understand the panic. You've probably gotten to the doctor now and we'd love an update. I'm guessing you are on an oral steriod and a quick acting relief inhaler to combat these attacks. I am thrilled you stopped smoking as that is so hard but yes, that absolutely is the best thing to help.  Let us know how you are doing.
