Hello all,
I recently did a blood panel at the doctor's and noticed that Hep B wasn't tested. This led me to go back into the Quest Diagnostics labs for tests I ran throughout the year in 2015.
I was focused on other results at the time so I guess I didn't consider how strange/inconsistent the results were--spanning January to July.
I believe, and have confirmed with my mother, that I received the proper Hep B vaccinations as a child.
However, I'm left a bit confused by these old results.
from Jan. 2015:
HEPATITIS B SURFACE AB, QL: Indeterminate
HB S AG: Nonreactive
HB CORE AB (IGM): Nonreactive
From March 2015:
HEPATITIS B SURFACE AB, QN: 9L
HEPATITIS B SURFACE AB, QL: Indeterminate
HB CORE AB, TOTAL: Nonreactive
HB CORE AB (IGM): Nonreactive
From July 2015:
HEPATITIS B SURFACE AB, QL: Reactive
HB S AG: Nonreactive
(CORE AB didn't seem to be tested on this one for some reason, according to the results sheet from Quest Diagnostics).
How should I interpret these? I feel as though I should get a new test soon, but is this strange? I'm very anxiety-prone so this is bothering me now.
My most recent blood panel showed Negative for HEP C and everything else looked normal, including all liver-related panels.
