I had sex with a friend who has recently tested negative with a INSTI gen 3 test but had a one time exposure with someone of unopened status 25 days prior. How reliable is her test and what are my odds of being infected if she was?
How much time is for duo test 4th gen to be reliable. I have read that once antibody starts appeading and antigens start disappearing(around 5-6 weels). What if enough antibodies are not produced at 6 weeks(mostly reliable according to most sources) and antigen is also not detectex at this time. Then people say 4th gen is reliable anytime after 6 weeks. Can you please provide your insight regarding that?
" So test now with a duo aka 4gen.."
We rely on the opinion of expert doctors who say a duo is conclusive at 4 weeks.
It is a waste of time doing any more googling because you will not find consensus - some organizations use outdated data.
So does that mean amytime after 4 weekz as well, what if antigen is not detected due to very few of them and not enough antibodies present to be detectable then as well is it reliable after 6 weeks lets say at 7 or 8 or 9 weeks?
My post was very clear. If you don't know the meaning of the word conclusive, google it.
You are not a blood test scientist, so I have no idea why you are wasting your time asking purposeless technical questions about an hiv test. Call the manufacturer with your questions.
